I love clothes.  I enjoy the way a good outfit makes me feel.  I love the process of getting dressed in the morning.  Picking an item.  Deciding on what emotion I am going for.  Figuring out my schedule.  Determining if that one article can work with all that I need to accomplish throughout my day.

I think about the items in my closet as though these inanimate objects have the ability to provide me with a new frame of mind.  Like the books that I read, I think of these items as having the potential to change me…somehow.

My sister (Myrnita) and I have both considered our closets in this way.  We each hold Coco Chanel in high esteem and think that she is the epitome of a WELL DRESSED WOMAN.  A Lady with a capital L!

There are a few quotes that I think of when I think of Madame Chanel:
1- “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory.”
2- “A good woman, with good shoes is never ugly.”
3- “There is a time for work and a time for love.  That leaves no other time.”

I think that there must be a correlation between my religious beliefs and my belief in fashion as a way to change…
